Max Lucado has released his Hermie and Friends book again for starting readers. Cute as ever, Hermie goes on a journey feeling very ordinary when God made him special. He finds friends along the way who seem to have special gifts when he seemingly has none. Falling into a deep sleep, he transforms into a beautiful butterfly. Repetition is good for new readers. The story is enjoyable, the characters are likable, and the artwork is beautiful. I hope Thomas Nelson also updates the rest of the series in a similar format. *For Thomas Nelson
